Using Wise and Paypal to do Business Abroad

I've been using Wise for several months now. I never had these modes of payment until my clients asked me to. The same goes for Paypal and crypto; they paid me via these modes of payment for several years. I also use this to pay for different transactions, like purchasing goods and services abroad.

Lately, I saw on freelancers and virtual assistance forums the reason why they use PayPal more often: the fee is very low. This is like the GCash of the world, sending money via mobile phone or desktop to more than 150 countries in 40+ currencies.

Wise's fee may be lower than PayPal's because PayPal is more established in the fintech industry. Wise offers transparent fees and upfront disclosure, while PayPal is less transparent. Wise uses mid-market without markups, whereas PayPal uses an exchange rate, resulting in fee variance. I find paypal beneficial as well is because I did create invoices within its internal system to bill my customers.

Since different businesses and individuals may have various forms of loyalty, I suggest you have accounts in both. For example, you could have an account with BPO or BPI bank, e-wallet GCash, or Paymaya just to please your customers.  So sign up for an online wise acct and debit card here.
