DCinema Way for New Digital Revolution on Philippine Cinemas

When was the last time you've seen the large flat-screen? Enjoying your Pinoy or Hollywood movies? DCinema a pioneer in digital systems announced last week the full conversion of all theaters in the Philippines to be a digital Cinemas. As the usual reason of modernization its good quality by saving time, money and increase efficiency(less piracy).
Its VPF or the Virtual Print Program allowed theater owner in the Philippines. To hasten its digitalization across the country.  VPF a financial mechanism for funding the 1st purchase of digital cinema equipment. Invented by 6 major hollywood studios designed to allows its theater owners to recoup its equipment cost.

Aside from enhanced viewing experience for movie fanatics. This conversion will also benefit the film industry as it lowers its distribution, editing and reproduction cost compared to the regular we used the analog cinema.  "60k digital screen are now up in running worldwide, around 28k of these converted in 2011". See this technology in SM Cinemas 1st in Cinema 1 at the block of SM North Edsa. Ayala digital cinemas, Robinsons Galeria Digital Cinemas, Starmall and Bohol Quality Cinema have embraced this technology as well. DCinema is also expecting more theathers to follow in the coming days.
