As the world’s largest student technology competition, the Imagine Cup provides an opportunity for brilliant young minds to use technology to solve some of the world’s toughest problems. Each year the competition features several categories and a unique altruistic theme. The United Nations has identified key challenges in its Millennium Goals and Imagine Cup is aligning to these goals as the guiding light to inspire positive change all over the world. This year’s theme is “Imagine a world where technology helps solve the toughest problems facing us today.”
The Software Design Semi Finals are held locally in more than 60 countries, including the Philippines. Contestants compete in the locals and, as with the Olympics, all finalists of each countries compete at the world finals, which are held in a different country each year. For this year, the host city for the finals is Warsaw, Poland.

Last year, we were able to make it to the World Finals in the Software Design Category and Embedded Development Category, and for 2010, again, we were able to grab 2 spots in the World Finals – Software Design Category and Game Development Categories.

In line with this, if it is not too much to ask, we would like to ask your help in supporting the Philippine entry for the Imagine Cup 2010 World Finals. Your vote and support are very much appreciated. We hope that you can share this to your friends and contacts as well. Let’s go Pilipinas! J
