Save Life - Hands only CPR

16 July 2018 Pasig City - Philippines. The Medical City TMC Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) holds mass training on Hands only CPR at hospital grounds. As a first doctor they teach us on how to a Hands-Only CPR for the Lay. I also did attend the training and performed the actual CPR first time in my life.

Dr. Paolo Prado, Director of Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) Clinical Care Program of TMC’s Cardiovascular Institute said that approximately 50% of deaths from heart disease occur in sudden attacks. Common happen at home reiterates that people should learn basic CPR so you can be a life saver.

CPR is a form of cardiac massage to make the heart pump to the brain because the heart stops when theres cardiac arrest. Just like starting a car in this case the heart is being restarted. It is important to know CPR because it will only take 6-10 mins if unattended patient can die.

So everybody can be a first doctor. And it plays a crucial role at home, office or road. I think they should include this training in getting a drivers license because most of this happens on road.

When performing a CPR - 3 C things to do first - Check responsiveness, Call for help, Compress - at least 100-120 with 2-2.4" deep pump until you see the patient is breathing. Save life as a first doctor on scene to stay alive. See the video of actual CPR pumping here.

Hands only CPR for the lay increase the survival rate before the ambulance arrived anytime anywhere. #cpr#savelife #medicalcity #heart #stayalive Easy to do in case of emergency can be performed by any teenage or adult.

They did this to several malls and hospital in the country. The  Medical City and its services for info call +632 988-1000 or +632 988-7000 email mail@medicalcity.com.ph, follow in fb facebook.com/TheMedicalCity or visit the web themedicalcity.com.
