Picture Essay Contest

Contest is open to all members of the Pangarap ng Pilipino Movement,           Each member is allowed only one entry. Entry should consist three (3) photos that reflect the beauty and progress of the Philippines today in three aspects: Infrastructure (e.g. Industrial Development, Agricultural Development) Creation of Wealth (e.g. Microfinance, Livelihood training, jobs generation, housing loans, OFW’s) Government in service of the people Each image should include a short blurb with a minimum of fifty (50) and a maximum of one hundred (100) words explaining the concept of each image. Blurb can be written in Filipino or English. Blurb should also include the location and date of where and when the picture was taken. Entries can be emailed to photocontest@angpilipinasngayon.com or mailed to APN PHOTO CONTEST P.O. Box 7762-M Domestic Airport P.O. Pasay city .  (1) Email entries should include the pictures with the blurb in .pdf or .ppt format as well as a hi-resolution .jpeg copy of each picture. In the body of the email include your name, address, email, mobile and landline (if applicable) number. In the subject head put “APN PHOTO CONTEST” (2)Mailed entries should be in a standard brown envelope with the pictures and blurb in a .pdf or .ppt format and hi-resolution .jpeg files in CD format. Include in a separate paper your name, address, email, mobile and landline (if applicable) number. Winner will be announced on the launch of Ang Pilipinas Ngayon on June 14, 2010 that will air ANC and Studio 23 and hosted by Billy Crawford, Lara Quigaman and Fr. Anton Pascual. Winner will also be notified through mail, email and/or text. Entries will be accepted from May 1, 2010 to May 31, 2010 Criteria for judging will be: 45% Relevance to the theme 20% composition, 15% Originality and 20% Audience Impact based on votes submitted on facebook. Voting will commence on June 2, 2010 until June 11, 2010 on the Ang Pilipinas Ngayon facebook page First place winner will receive 20,000Php in cash, a plaque of recognition, an appearance of their best photo in one of Ang Pilipinas Ngayon’s broadsheet placements in Philippine Daily Inquirer, Philippine Star or Manila Bulletin and Ang Pilipinas Ngayon exclusive merchandises. Second place winner will receive 10,000Php in cash, a plaque of recognition and Ang Pilipinas Ngayon exclusive merchandises. Third place winner will receive 5,000Php in cash, a plaque of recognition and Ang Pilipinas Ngayon exclusive merchandises.
