TV5 Ko 'to! - Bloggers Writing Project Mechanics

1. This Contest is open to all bloggers who watch the following TV5 shows: Midnight DJ, Lipgloss and/or Flo.

2. Participants must blog about any or all of the 3 TV5 shows listed above. Anything goes! Entries may include comments, recommendations on how to improve the show/s and reasons to watch them or otherwise. They can also express their take on the technical elements of the show like the plot, over-all appeal and other aspects of production.

3. All participating bloggers must register at the TV5Kommunity and post their blog entry’s entry’s URL in the specific thread assigned for this contest.

4. Entries shall be judged via ‘point system’. For every hit and positive feedback generated about the program on both the contestant’s personal blog and their entries in the TV5Kommunity page. Contestant earns ‘points’.

5. The Top 3 bloggers with the highest points shall receive special prizes and their blog entries shall be posted in the TV5 Blogs. Moreover, they shall be given special credits/acknowledgment within their ‘blogged’ TV5 shows.

6. The Grand Prize winner shall receive a DSLR camera and an invitation to be in one of the program’s episodes or in any TV5 event as a VIP guest.

7. All entries must be submitted on or before May 20, 2009. Only hits and positive feedback received until May 20, 2009 shall be considered.

	Name: Vittorio Mari Bonnevie Sotto Screen Name: Oyo Boy Sotto Role: Samboy “Midnight DJ” Bautista Age: 25 Birth date:  January 12, 1984 Nationality: Filipino Height: 5’9” Weight: 145 lbs. Characterization: a street-smart, lovable everyman with a shady past and a knack for native folklore. Background: Lead Character – plays the host of the MIDNIGHT DJ Program Male, Early-20’s Comes from a CD background – a family of con-artists. He knows he wants out of the family conning lifestyle, so he  makes this one last con to get out. He successfully cons his way to becoming the next Midnight DJ by pretending he has an active third eye. Because he knows that he conned this way to get the job, he is always wary he will be found out. The season starts out and Samboy has no powers. It is only later on that he develops it. His flaws: He can’t get the con out of him. Sometimes he still uses his conning  skills (lying, charm) in confronting the situations he gets himself into. He is a perennial gambler. He will bet on anything, and often  Bodjie is an unwitting victim. His saving grace:                                                 Despite being rough on the edges, he is loveable, charming and approachable. He is also streetsmart and very resourceful His mga ‘kuwento ng lolo/tatay ko’ is endearing –  bringing Philippine folklore to the forefront. Despite his being a perennial liar (brought about by his con artist background) he has a weird sense of morality. He cannot seem to lie to the girl he loves. He knows how to maximize his charm to get what he wants. He is passionate about his job: He is passionate about his work  and immerses himself in his stories. After all, this job will get  him out of the rut he is in.
	Name: Desiree Lois del Valle Dunham Screen Name: Desiree del Valle Role: Andrea Age: 26 Birth date: May 28, 1982   Nationality: Half Irish American and Half Filipino Height: 5’4” Weight: 105 lbs. Characterization: Programming Director of LXFM. Background: Female, Mid-Late 20s Programming Director of LXFM from previous  position as Producer/Researcher of Midnight DJ during Patrick’s time. As she takes on the  job, challenges she encounters includes how to be a boss and taming her temper. Jenny is there always ready to support her in these matters. Andrea comes from a B-C background . She is the middle child and only daughter.  That’s why she is quite boyish. It is in  Season 2 where the woman blooms! She is a workaholic, ‘in-th-box’ kind  of girl that always follows rules  and regulations. The play it safe kind  of girl with a one-track mind. Her assertiveness shows in her  ‘competitive’ nature to be on-top. Ironically  she is only assertive when it comes to things  that are within her comfort zone i.e. school,  work. In other matters outside her comfort zone (i.e. matters of the heart), she is wary and ‘ atras-abante’ more often than not, atras. She is independent, tough, and knows how  to hold her ground. OC and always prepared. Her Flaws: A very play safe kind of girl, she is scared  of taking risks. Always tries to ‘take control’ of the situation, sometimes to a fault. Her Saving Grace: Because she is a hard-worker, industrious and assertive, she is able to be an effective and boss. Because she is competitive, she always make  sure her show is ‘top rated’ Name: Jenny Miller                     Screen Name: Jenny Miller Role: Patricia “Trixie” Romualdez Age: Birth date: Nationality:  Filipino Height: Weight: lbs. Characterization: LXFM Owner and Station Manager Background: Female, Early 30’s Station Manager and Owner of LXFM (COO also – People say Child of Owner =)) Her mom is the second wife of a wealthy tycoon. Although they are provided for, they are still a ‘second’ family. In her attempt to impress her  dad, she is a dad pleaser.  (She is not, however a daddy’s girl) A couple years after college, as he does with his other children, her dad gives her  one of his small businesses – a radio station – LXFM. Even if this a small business compared to the other businesses he gives to his ‘legitimate ’ children, she sees this as her chance to prove  her worth. Because she is a ‘bombshell’, fashionable  and “new rich”, people easily misjudge her to be just a pretty face. She is actually a smart girl, and is trying to prove her mettle as a young boss. She gets to show this  off when she shows Andrea how to be a boss –  how to use not only your smarts,  but also your being a lady. Her Flaws Her Vanity! She’s not taken seriously because she’s rich.  (This is a flaw not of her own doing) She’s quite picky and maarte. Her Saving Grace – What makes her likeable. She keeps the team grounded and focused –  always bringing them together. It should also appear that she is also really trying her best at what she does. Albeit she is not particularly brilliant, she knows her  strengths and knows how to get things done. She’s more streetsmart vs. Andrea who is more book-smart. Because of her humble beginnings,  she has a ‘good heart’ Full Name: Ronald Cabiles Tupas Screen Name: Joaqui Tupas Role: Bodjie Manotoc Pascual Age:  30 Birth date:  February 22, 1979 Nationality: Filipino Height: 5’3” Weight:  130 lbs. Characterization: Side-kick of Samboy,  and LXFM’s Radio technician Background: Male, Late 20s Radio Technicial at LXFM for  the program Midnight DJ He is single and comes from a humble background. He still lives with his family. Since his parents are both OFWs he is the man of the house taking care of his younger  siblings. The irony is despite his being  the man of the house. He is the most  scaredy cat when it comes to the unknown. With his responsibilities at home, he chooses to work on Midnight DJ  because more often than not, this means he has his days to himself where he takes care of errands and the family. In the  evening he works on the Midnight DJ Program. He is makulit, high-energy. Sometimes clumsy. He is however sensitive and quite emotional. The kakulitan is sometimes a front for his being emotional. He sees his job as his ‘saving grace’. Despite his being a scaredy cat he continues  to work with Midnight DJ. Not only does it  provide him with a respectable salary, but it keeps his days free for family. Flaws: He is also quite a scaredy cat Because hindi siya nakatapos ng formal schooling, merong inferiority complex. “Por ket hindi ako nakatapos”.  He looks up to all his team members. He gets flustered and at times ends up  clumsy with how he does things.
