Guidelines for the Photo & Blog Contest
Eligibility
This contest is open to all, 18 years old and above.
Entry sender must be a registered member of www.politicalarena.com. Non-members who want to join can create an account. If not yet a member, register HERE.
What to Submit
A valid entry consist of:- A photo which depicts the following:
- A scene, whether during a campaign sortie, the election day or even an ordinary day, which for you best represents the 2010 elections.
- A politician in action during the campaign season.
- A national issue which needs to be addressed by the next president.
- A brief description of the photo.
- A photo which depicts the following:
The photo to be submitted must be:- Original and owned by the sender. Plagiarism and copyright infringement are grounds for disqualification of the entry.
- Submitted in the following formats: Joint Photographic Experts Group (.jpeg), Portable Network Graphics (.png) and Graphics Interchange Format (.gif).
Submission of Entries
To submit an entry, follow the steps below:- Log in to your account in www.politicalarena.com.
- Once logged in, click "Photos" and then click the "Submit Photo" button.
- Upload the photo to be submitted. Don't forget to put the photo title and description.
- Choose a candidate to whom you want to associate your photo with. If none, select "My Photos."
- When finished, click "Submit" button.
Promo runs from April 21-May 14, 2010. Deadline of submission of entries is on May 14, 2010.
One contestant can upload up to five (5) photo entries.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the mobile number and e-mail address indicated in your profile are updated for purposes of notifying you should you win the promo.
Winners and Prizes
One winner will be chosen via an electronic raffle. The lucky winner will win a Flip Video Ultra unit.
The winner of this promo is to be announced in www.politicalarena.com on May 21, 2010.
The winner will receive a call from a politicalarena.com representative and will be notified via e-mail. He/she will also be informed of the instructions on how to claim his/her prize.

What to Submit
A blog that discusses topics related to the 2010 elections, such as (but not limited to):- Candidate/s to vote for in the elections
- Automation of elections (pre, during and post)
- Youth's role in the 2010 elections
- Experiences during the campaign period
- Thoughts on the results after the elections
- Change in the Philippines after the 2010 elections
The article to be submitted must be:- Original and unpublished, whether in print or online.
- At least 200 words, in English or in Filipino.
- Observant of copyright regulations (avoidance of plagiarism, citation of sources).
- Free from vulgar, offensive, defamatory and accusatory statements without evidence.
- Submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc), Open Office format (.odt), Rich Text format (.txt) or PDF format (.pdf).

- Once logged in, click "My Account" and then click "Edit Opinion."
- Click "Post Opinion" and then input your blog entry.
- When finished, don't forget to tick the "Published" box then click "Submit" button.
- When finished, click "Submit" button.
